From the moment we arrived this beautiful house wrapped us in warmth.  The views are absolutely breathtaking and the rooms were comfortable and beautiful. What truly made this week unforgettable was the love and care poured into every detail by an incredible staff.  Martina, your cooking was nothing short of extraordinary.  Every meal was made with heart and it showed in every delicious bite.  It is without question, the best food and service we have ever experienced.  Nury, you kept our rooms so clean, comfortable and inviting.  You took the time to set up the sofa bed in our room for Coleman without us even asking.  You lovingly took care of our laundry and returned the items neatly folded and hung.  Adrianna, thank you for taking such wonderful care of us all week.  Whether, mixing delicious drinks behind the bar (patiently making dirty monkeys for Coleman) or servicing our meals.   You made us feel welcome and part of the family. Your kindness and attentiveness meant so much to us all!  We truly felt the love that went into taking care of us this week and you all made our staff deeply special and unforgettable! We are already counting down the days ( 361) until we return next year!

So much to say for too page space!  Everything was picture perfect from the house, the food , the weather and amazing staff.  Every meal was some of the best we had ever had, our rooms here were always spotless, and never failed to see a smiling face asking to attend to your every need.  We had the absolute best time from our ATV”S tour to  zip lining, massages, and the sailboat excursion. We would not change a thing and hope to be back soon! Many memories made! Muchas Gracias!

Where to begin!  We found ourselves back for more after spending a fantastic week at Villa Puesta del Sol next door in December of 2024.  Somehow, Adrianna, Martina and Nury managed to top it.  The week flew by as they kept us pampered, well fed and spoiled us silly and never laughed our feeble attempt at Spanish!  The house and patio as if by magic, was always tidy  and the pool crystal clear while we spent our days laughing, lounging, reading and napping .  What more could you ask for?  It was a wonderful vacation and we are grateful for our new friends here at Villa Puerto Escondido.

We are truly thankful that we got to spend time here in beautiful Costa Rica with family & friends.  We arrived on Friday, we were greeted with a beautiful villa and even more beautiful smiles!    We cannot say thank you enough to Adrianna, Martina and Nury.  Adrianna went above and beyond to make our week so special.  Martina ‘s culinary skills are amazing!  She even made a delicious Thanksgiving dinner and Adrianna decorated the table in beautiful festive colors.  We were wowed by it all.  Nury was so special & sweet.  She kept our rooms so spotlessly clean.  This was by far, a holiday to remember!  We’re already planning another trip back.

This was our first time visiting Costa Rica.  Everything exceeded our expectations. Martina, Adrianna and Nury were absolutely amazing hosts.  So courteous, respectful and attentive to our every need.    The food was amazing, the presentation was creative.  Any drink requested was made to perfection.  The house was kept so unbelievably clean.  As I said earlier, this is our first trip ………however we are already planning coming back with our kids and grandchildren.   Again, we can’t express how much we loved the staff and the villa.  Until next year……….We miss you already.

A blended family fun vacation.  What an awesome experience. The staff was phenomenal at fulfilling every need we could ever want,  Adrianna created beautiful drinks and Martina’s meals were so delicious . Nury kept our rooms so clean and took care of our laundry needs. We never had to want for anything.  The views were breathtaking.   One of the best vacations ever!

Puerto Escondido was a wonderful week with family and friends in paradise.  The staff made the stay all the more enjoyable.

You can certainly have plenty of fun simply relaxing in the pool, freshly prepared drinks and meals.  The real joy is exploring, meeting the locals, learning about their lives and experiencing Pura Vida.  The wildlife whether watching here from the  patio or on a rainforest hike-is something else.

We can’t even imagine a better vacation than this one.  This was our first time to Costa Rica and we are already discussing another !  Specifically another stay here at Villa Puerto Escondido.  Stephanie, Martina & Nury took such good care of us.  They went above and beyond to meet our needs and they were so patient with my basic spanish.  Kojakc and his team were accomodating and made each excursion better with their knowledge.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  This was a vacation was a dream come true!  Martina, Stephanie and Nury were a part of our family by the end of the week.  I can easily recommend the ATV’s, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, zip lining and surfing.  I will forever remember this happy time together.  We are so grateful for this experience.  The sunsets are the best we have ever seen and the views are amazing. PS. get a massage at the end of the week. Once again, thank you!

Our stay at the villa was amazing!  When we arrived we were greeted with a smile & pina colodas.  This was our family’s first time travelling internationally and we were a bit apphrehensive at first but all the staff at the villa was so welcoming, friendly and incredibly accomodationg. Two of our four children are very picky eaters and Martina made so many homemade french fries to make sure they were also happy!  The villa is beautiful with breathtaking views.  We particularly enjoyed the beautiful sunsets with dinner each night.  The food was amazing, drinks were great and the pool was incredibly refreshing during the hot afternoons.  We went on 4 excursions and a couple trips into town.  Josue provided most of our transportation and was down to earth, informativie and added tremendous value to our stay.  We are already looking forward to our next trip to Costa Rica!  Also Nury has such a pretty smile!

Muchas Gracias, Amigos!  We had such a wonderful time that we are already planning our return.  Our stay at the villa was perfecto!  The home is paradise-so beautiful & comfortable!  We loved our daily routines: waking up early to catch the sunrise on the terrace with delicious coffee in the rocking chairs; a morning walk up and down the glorious hills; breakfast by Martina; conversations with Nury; lunch and cocktails by the pool with Stephanie;  Arly taking such good care with our rides to the beaches; Martina’s nightly delieghtful & delicous dinners; Trino ‘s excellent care at night.  The sweet & caring staff making the stay so unique and special.  We really enjoyed the excursions. seeing the sloths; learning about locally grown coffee and chocolate; sunset sailboat cruise. Such glorious sunsets.

First time in Costa Rica, won’t be our last time.  The food was amazing! It slayed.  The beach and the pool were so nice.  The beach was so relaxing with fun waves.  Super fun playing pool basketball at the villa.  The drinks were amazing and Nury, Stephanie and Martina were all so nice. This is the 3rd annual Harley-Horrnik vacation and the unanimous vote is this has been the best!  We appreciated the gift of true relaxation knowing Ms. Stephanie would keep our families fed (and lubricated). Our families(4 adults and kids 6, 6, 4 &3) really loved the sunset cruise, the waterfall & sloth tour and surfing in Tamarindo.  One child is particularly picky eater yet loved every meal he had here.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.  This trip truly embodied everything we’ve come to learn about Pura Vida!  We will be back -until then- PURA VIDA!

We are here for our son’s wedding. We have 8 staying at this house and 17 in the house next store.  We could not have asked for a better setup.  The staff is phenomenal. It truly has been a trip of a lifetime.  Kojakc has done such a great job organizing our excursions.  Truly can’t say enough about the staff and all of the fabulous food.

I have been here for nearly 3 weeks. I rented out PDS (sister villa) next store and also Escondido. We had a 19 people for a retreat for 5 nights at Villa Puesta del Sol. It was amazing.  We could not have asked for a better location and crew.  You can’t ask for a better view.  The staff are like family now.  It was my 2nd time staying here and we met their families. We can’t thank everyone enough.  We will be back again and again!  Much love always

Our first trip to Costa Rica and certainaly not our last. The views, the professional staff, the delicious meals and yummy drinks.  Who did we think we were staying here?  So worth it!  The fun excursion to the coffee, cocoa and sloth tour was lovely.  Walking to Father Rooster’s and having Arly pick us up was perfection.  Oliver was great  and so fun to bring us around to other parts of the region.  Stephanie was lovely, very friendly & so sweet.  Her spicy margaritas were to die for.   We miss it already and can’t wait to visit again.  The weather was perfect!! Save us a place at the table! We’ll be back!

Everything about this place has been absolutely amazing!  From all of the staff members, to the views and the excursions.  Everyone here treated us with kindness and will make sure you have a great time!  We were treated like family throughout our whole stay and not once did we feel at home especially with the great cooking! This place is absolutely wonderful!  It was our first trip to Costa Rica and loved every single moment here.  The hospitality from every single member of the team has been outstanding- from the gardener to the housekeeping staff, the cook and the guides who took us on the tours!  Everyone treated us with so much respect and care!  We were a group of only women and not once did we feel unsafe during our stay.  They treated us like FAMILY, making us feel so welcome and cherished.  Thank you for all the love, care and attention.  This experience has truly been unforgettable.

We truly enjoyed this special family vacation.  Our family of 5 loved every moment.  The Thanksgiving turkey was delicious.  All of the authentic dishes were always delicious. Drinks were wonderful and our kids loved all the smoothies.  The excursions we took were so exciting, especially the hike to the waterfall. The house and our laundry were perfectly cleaned. Everything always smelled so fresh.  Thank you for all of the special memories we made during our week spend here.

We loved our stay. Our first time in Costa Rica!  We were not sure what August would be like but it’s beautiful!  Some sun, some overcast and some rain. The property is so amazing! We feel like we are in the jungle with the animals and love the ocean.  Everyone is so friendly and accommodating.  The food was excellent. A special out to Stephanie who made the best drinks and runs an efficient relaxing home!  She should be promoted.

After close to 30 years of visiting it never gets old! I had my family together for 7 days and it was an absolute blessing!   This villa will always be my favorite spot!  The staff was AMAZING! The food was absolutely delicious!  The service was off the charts.  Many memories made……….. surfing, snorkeling, fishing, sunset cruise, hiking, swimming and taking in the million-dollar views!   We will be back!!

We had an amazing stay at Puerto Escondido. The views are breathtaking and everything was perfect. What wonderful vacation our group of 6 has had this week. We were quite impressed with the house and its beautiful rooms & views! Stephanie, was very welcoming from the time we arrived with welcome Pina Colada’s waiting! Delish!  Martina is a fabulous chef!  All of our meals were made with so much thought and love ! Our favorite were the crepes for dessert!  Everything was so yummy!  The views from this house are spectacular from sunrise to sunset!  Sitting in the rocking chairs watching the storms roll in were amazing!   This view NEVER  gets old!  Nury, thank you for keeping everything so clean EVERY DAY! Thank you for doing my laundry…..I could take you home.  Your smile is contagious! Everything about this trip was very well organized & stress free! Looking forward to our next trip to Costa Rica.

Our first trip to Costa Rica was amazing!  The villa and staff made our week so relaxing!! The food was fabulous and we have never stayed at a cleaner villa. Stephanie & staff anticipated our every need.  Kojakc and his crew had wonderful activity suggestions and got us there and home safely each time.  We loved seeing the monkeys all around. The views were incredible, nothing like it!  We even saw whales one afternoon from the pool deck. We will definitely be back!

Back in Costa Rica for another vacation adventure.  We arrived and were greeted with smiles.  We were also very excited to meet Martina again. Martina’s cooking is fabulous. We experienced Martina’s cooking 2 years ago.   Stephanie provided great smoothies & drinks.  Nury kept everything clean and laundered our clothes too.  Kojakc and his crew got us where we needed to go .  Another great time in Costa Rica! Pura Vida, about sums up our time here.  Beautiful views, great excursions and fantastic staff.  We loved the wildlife!  Highly recommend the Buena Vista all day tour. It’s packed with everything & ask from Memo. He will give you are awesome background on their country!  Ask for Pina Colada’s & Chili water drinks.  We had a wonderful time with friends!

Each day was magical for our group of 8 friends from Quebec City, Canada.  Stephanie, Martina & Nury did a fantastic job and they made our stay like we were at home! From the moment we got here, we have been able to completely relax.  Nuri, Stephanie and Martina took excellent care of us and were always so friendly and attentive.  All of the excursions were also well organized, and we had so much fun! Can’t wait to come back with more friends and family! Pura Vida!

This vacation was spectacular! Beyond expectations.  Costa Rica is beautiful, but the highlight was the beautiful villa and service. Fabian paid such attention to detail.  He would take care of anything we ask or needed.  Great drinks and creative.  Martina cooked her heart out! The food was amazing.  It was nice to leave the villa & not worry about meals.  Nuri was so sweet cleaning, washing clothes all with such a gracious smile. Oliver with Kojakc excursions were great! He listened to what we wanted to do and made it happen!  We did ATV’s, sloth sightseeing, waterfall, zip-lining and horseback riding on the beach.  They kept it to our group of 5 & it was so fun!

In summary, this vacation was fantastic for all of us.  The service went above our expectations.  Of course, the view is amazing and the villa so well appointed. Pura Vida! We had an amazing trip!

Here comes another raving review!!  One of the best vacations we have ever experienced. This was one of the first vacations where we all relaxed the moment we passed through the front door and stayed that way until we left.  The staff was phenomenal. Fabian, Martina and Nury cared for our every want and need.  We are already planning our next trip to stay at the exact location. So luxurious.!

This is by far the best vacation we have been on.  We came with 3 couples and had such an amazing time.  The villa was more than we have hoped for, the staff far exceeded our expectations.  Fabian took care of everything.  Martina made every meal special and was so delicious. Nury took care of all our needs without us asking and the villa was beautiful everyday.  Kojakc arranged everything for us without ever leaving the villa.  The staff, villa, and everything was 10 stars if I could give it.  We will be back for sure!  Thank you! By far one of the best family vacations, we could of had. The home was beautiful, and the views are something out of a dream.  We really wanted a place to come and relax and unwind. We couldn’t have found a better place than Puerto Escondido.

Fabian was so attentive making sure we had everything we needed. We were greeted with the most delicious drinks by him. He was always making us anything we wanted throughout the day.

Martina was the best cook. Every meal got better and better. We did not want to go out to eat because we knew we wouldn’t get anything better.  From the fresh fruit & juice to all of the delicious fresh food for all 3 meals.

It was 5 stars.  Nury always kept the house so clean, and our bedrooms were just like new every night. She pressed some clothes for and made sure our laundry was cleaned daily.

We felt very spoiled this week and will be back soon and recommending to all of our friends and family.

This trip was truly exceeded our expectations! The view was breathtaking and truly something I will never forget.  The villa is so comfortable, the pool is amazing but most importantly the 3 wonderful people that took care of us during our stay.   Martina’s food was delicious! Our favorite were the tacos, the porkchop and the guacamole.  Fabian was so kind and helpful.  Nury was so sweet and worked so hard.  Always has a smile on her face!

Oliver & Kojakc took great care of us and made us feel so welcome!

This was an incredible vacation! The staff-Fabian, Martina & Nury were exceptional. We especially enjoyed the spa treatments at the villa, the boat cruise & beach BBQ and the waterfall tour!  Tonight’s last dinner was better than any restaurant!  We can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful week! The food, staff and everything about the house was amazing! This is truly a little slice of heaven!

This trip by far exceeded our expectations. The villa is so comfortable and we loved the amazing view!  The pool and the shaded part of the porch was so inviting.  Kojakc helped plan the rainforest and jungle tours plus transportation. We also did a large catamaran with a very large group. So much fun. Flamingo Beach was our favorite highlight of all!  We loved Fabian’s attention to detail He made the best drinks for us all & drove us around.  Martina’s meals were fabulous. Our favorites were tacos, quesadillas’, nachos, soups and the best desserts-flam, chocolate cake & crepes.  Nury was so kind and cheery. We loved her energy. Her hard work was so appreciated. To wrap it up, it was a top favorite vacation for our family. We hope to be back! Pura Vida!

I don’t know where to begin!  Our stay at the Villa Puerto Escondido was better than we imagined.  Our staff was the BEST!  Fabian tried so hard to make everything perfect.  Martina made the most delicious meals. Nury was always smiling and friendly.  They all made our week long stay very memorable. We hate to leave. Pura Vida!

Everything about this trip was amazing! The staff was very friendly and catered to all of our needs. The kids especially loved the strawberry, mango and kiwi drinks by the pool.  Kojakc and his team were great @ setting up excursions. We loved the sailboat ride & beach BBQ. We also had fun at the waterfall and sloth viewing. The weather was great and had fun in the pool and at the beach.  We definitely would come back!
